Denali, my faithful gatita |
This blog is a small account of my two years of service as a Sustainable Agriculture Peace Corps Volunteer in the Ecuadorian providence of El Oro. I am working on a
organic fertilizer project that was started by the previous volunteer at my site and works directly with small sugar cane and coffee farmers to improve their annual yields and provide a secondary source of income. A recent graduate of Bucknell University, I grew up in South Dakota and spent a year before my time in Peace Corps working odd jobs. That is leading guided horseback rides through Yellowstone National Park and as a field organizer on Stephanie Herseth Sandlin’s Congressional campaign. Hopefully you’ll find the contents of this blog interesting and insightful or if nothing else amusing.
Also, if you feel so inclined as to send me mail, my address is listed below…. I’m a huge fan of Trident Original; the Ecuadorian version just doesn’t cut it. :)

I should say that the tag line "It ain't life but it's clos." is a play on words on a long standing joke amongst Ecuadorian PCVs who consider themselves to be connoisseurs of Clos wine. All grammatical and spelling errors on intentional. Credit is due to
